HPHS is part of a one hundred-year-old school district. It is ranked by New Jersey Monthly magazine in the top 15% of NJ high schools, and received the Silver Medal in 2013 and 2015 from US News and World Report. 

Each grade has approximately 100 students. Mean SAT scores in 2015 were 161 points above the New Jersey state average, and 191 points above the US national average. 

HPHS is proud to partner with Rutgers University on the Global Citizens program. Graduates who complete this program are awarded a Seal of Global Citizenship.
